Filipino Night Kicked Off Our 2026 Season in Style

Kumusta (How are you), party people? Because WOW... what a way to kick off another season of Fridays On Front!
Last Friday, July 10, Front Street Mews came alive as thousands of smiling faces joined us for our first inaugural Filipino Night, celebrating community, culture, incredible local talent, and delicious food. From the very first song to the last dance move, you filled the street with laughter, energy, and the kind of community spirit that makes Fridays On Front so special year after year.
To everyone who came out, danced, cheered, laughed, shopped, ate, and celebrated with us: You made our opening night one for the books!
The Entertainment? Amazing!
A huge thank you to our fabulous host, Justin Abit, who returned to keep the party rolling with plenty of laughs, crowd interaction, and fiery performances that literally lit up the Mews.
The music didn't stop there!
Session Five had everyone singing along to Bruno Mars favourites, nostalgic throwback hits, and dance-floor classics. By the end of the night, the crowd in front of the stage had turned into one giant dance party, and honestly... we weren't ready for it to end either!
Then came the breathtaking performance from the Tinikling dancers, whose incredible coordination, traditional attire, and lightning-fast footwork left the audience completely mesmerized. It was one of those performances where you could hear the crowd collectively saying, "How are they doing that?!"
And because one party simply wasn't enough, DJ Ceefour kept the celebrations going after the event with an after-party at Barkada Hair & Studio, who also joined us on Front Street Mews with stylish merchandise and plenty of community spirit throughout the evening!
If You Came Hungry... You Definitely left Happy
No Fridays On Front is complete without incredible eats, and our Filipino night delivered!

So Much More Than a Festival
Throughout the evening, visitors explored our wonderful local vendors, enjoyed free caricatures by Gel, and families made memories together with activities hosted by New West Family Place.
A big thanks also goes to I's on the Street, whose team helped keep the event welcoming, clean, and enjoyable for everyone throughout the night.
From shopping local to dancing in the street, every corner of Front Street was buzzing with community connection!
A special thanks to our BIA members, Barkada Hair & Salon—who hyped up attendees with their friendly and energetic spirit while attendees were shopping from their stylish merch, and talented artists from not one, but two amazing tattoo places we are proud to have in our community: Grapevine Tattoo and Serpent Skin Tattoo Collective. We were thrilled to have these incredible businesses joining our opening night and connecting with our community!

Join us this Friday, July 17, from 6 pm to 10 pm, as Front Street Mews transforms into one giant playground for Games Night!
Expect interactive games, exciting performances, amazing food trucks, local vendors, cold drinks, more family-friendly fun, and plenty of surprises throughout the evening!
